Rover P5 & P5B Coupe Quarterlight Bushing

£19

The P5 and P5B Coupe has a different design of quarterlight (the small window that pivots open on the front doors), one that relies on a plastic bushing to stay open in one of 3 positions. Generally over time these break or disintegrate, leaving the quarterlight unusable, as they won’t stay open.

Here we have our own remanufactured part, made from Nylon 6 for long-life. The design has been improved by being strengthened in some critical areas, so these should last longer than the originals.

These aren’t difficult to fit, but you need to remove the door trim to gain access. It’s then just a matter of removing the nut and spring on the quarterlight pivot, and placing the bush in position, then replacing the spring and nut. Here’s a video we made showing how to replace them: https://youtu.be/PIUbP3mG6dE

Note that these are ‘handed’ – the design is a mirror image between left and right front doors, so be sure to order the correct side. Even better, order both sides and save a bit of money.

These are Coupe-only. The Saloon has a completely different (and more robust) solution.
