Rover P5 & P5B Label: 100 RON

£4

Original body labels for the Rover P5 & P5B. These are a simple way to improve the appearance of your car and give an ‘original’ look.

Rovers V8 engine was specified to run on 5-star ‘100 RON’ fuel, due in part to its high compression ratio, and this label made that clear! I’ve seen this applied both to the fan shroud under the bonnet, and also on the rear window next to the fuel filler on a few cars.

These are incredibly faithful reproductions of the original labels that Rover used, designed by ourselves. They aren’t cheap stickers. They have been professionally printed on vinyl, laminated with an invisible plastic coating for correct appearance and to protect the label. They’re self-adhesive using permanent, high-temperature adhesive so they’re very resistant to high underbody temperatures and solvents like oil and fuel. They’re also trimmed to be the correct size.

There was a lot of variability in labels attached to the Rover P5 and P5B bodies at the factory, so there isn’t really a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ place to apply labels.

Always ensure you clean and degrease the surface before applying the label, as even the best adhesive can’t stick to a dirty surface. Apply the labels by slowly peeling off the backing, making sure you remove any air bubbles as you go.

Obviously the label you receive won’t have the ‘preview’ watermark, nor the Mid-Century Living logo that you can see in the sample product images!
