Original body labels for the Rover P5 and P5B. These are a simple way to improve the appearance of your car and give an ‘original’ look.
This label was used in the engine compartment, normally (as far as we know) located on the fan shroud. It warned the owner or mechanic of some important information regarding fuel, spark plugs and engine timing.
These are incredibly faithful reproductions of the original labels that Rover used, designed by ourselves. They aren’t cheap stickers. They have been professionally printed on vinyl, laminated with an invisible plastic coating for correct appearance and to protect the label. They’re self-adhesive using permanent, high-temperature adhesive so they’re very resistant to high underbody temperatures and solvents like oil and fuel. They’re also trimmed to be the correct size.
There was a lot of variability in labels attached to the Rover P5 and P5B bodies at the factory, so there isn’t really a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ place to apply labels.
Always ensure you clean and degrease the surface before applying the label, as even the best adhesive can’t stick to a dirty surface. Apply the labels by slowly peeling off the backing, making sure you remove any air bubbles as you go.
Obviously the label you receive won’t have the ‘preview’ watermark, nor the Mid-Century Living logo that you can see in the sample product images!
